Speculation about Justin Timberlake’s next album has gone to the next level after it was revealed the singer has filed trademark applications for the phrases “Man of the Woods” and “Fresh Leaves.”
According to TMZ, Timberlake wants to use “Man of the Woods” for “a bunch of things like CDs, DVDs, downloadable music, clothes, concert posters, programs ... and live performances and tours.”
"Fresh Leaves," the website reported, is for use “on hats, robes, shorts, jerseys, long-sleeved T-shirts, and more.”
TMZ guessed that one is an album title and the other is the name of the lead single.
Timberlake’s new album is likely to be released before, or soon after, his Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 4.
Artists don't get paid to perform at Super Bowl but use the massive exposure and publicity to boost music sales or to announce tours.
