Health Issues Force Aretha Franklin To Scrap Canada Day Show
The Queen of Soul will not be celebrating Canada Day with fans in Toronto.
Aretha Franklin has scrapped a concert set for July 1 at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, citing health issues.
According to the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, the 75-year-old icon is under “doctor’s orders” to rest.
The festival said it hopes to have Franklin back for a show on June 28, 2018.
Refunds are available at the points of sale.
Franklin has cancelled a number of concerts in recent years due to unspecified health issues.
