Everyone looks up to King, including one unlikely pop star.

Ed Sheeran tells Rolling Stone he’s inspired by George Strait and hopes to one day have a similar touring regime.

King George toured heavily for three decades and then retired from the road in 2014. He still performs concerts today—just on his schedule, in one city. He’s currently contracted with T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and performs a select number of shows per year.

George returns to Vegas for two shows in April, while Ed kicks off his Divide Tour June 29 in Kansas City, Missouri.
