It could be only a matter of days before Taylor Swift gives us new music.
According to Us Weekly, the 27-year-old singer will share the first single from her forthcoming sixth album as early as Friday. The album — her first since 2014’s 1989 — will be out this fall, the outlet claimed.
Swift does seem to be teasing fans.
On Friday, images on her Instagram and Tumblr were deleted, as well as the avatars and headers on her Twitter and Facebook. Swift’s official website became a blank space, baby.
Then, on Monday, a 10-second video showing a snake’s tail appeared on Swift’s social media accounts.
Fans are sharing the theory that Swift is reclaiming the reptile from the haters who started using snake emojis on Twitter and in the comments section of her Instagram last summer. (After Instagram created a filter that allows its high-profile users to delete specific words and emojis from their feeds, the snakes disappeared from Swift’s account.)
Indeed, we're overdue for a Swift album. Since 2006, she has released one every two years.
