Is This The 1975's New Album Release Date?

The 1975's upcoming album Music For Cars is one of the many anticipated releases of 2018 – and it looks like its drop date has surfaced online.

The Guardian highlighted must-see tours and forthcoming sets for 2018, and editor Alexis Petridis listed an April 27 release date for the band’s third studio album.

Once the Twitterverse picked up on the golden nugget, the band's manager, Jamie Oborne, chimed in with a tweet directed at lead singer Matty Healy, writing, "next phase," and a follow-up tweet with a link to Public Enemy's, "Don't Believe The Hype."

We're not sure if that is a silent “yes” or “no” to the speculation, but it would make sense for the album to drop sometime soon. After all, Music For Cars was announced last April.

Music For Cars will follow I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, which dropped in February 2016, and last December's live album, DH00278.
