Jay-Z Comments On NFL Protests

After the owner of the Houston Texan’s made controversial remarks regarding recent NFL protests, Jay-Z took a moment to speak out on the matter during his concert in Anaheim, California on Friday.

Many players in the NFL have opted to get down on one knee rather than stand for the national anthem in protest of racism happening throughout football in the United States. Owner of the Texans, Bob McNair, made the remark “we can’t have inmates running the prison,” which he has been highly criticized for and has since retracted his statement.

During his performance in Anaheim on his 4:44 Tour, Jay-Z fired back against the current NFL divide, saying “Injuring themselves on the field, giving it all they got. That’s how they look at you. That’s what they think about you. We got so much further to go. The truth is we all believe in whatever you believe in. God, Allah. Whatever you believe in, we come from one source which means we are all brothers and sisters at the end of the day.”
