Jennifer Lopez Pledges $1.2M To Puerto Rico

Jennifer Lopez has joined the relief efforts to help the devastated island after the powerful hurricane that left Puerto Rico in distress.

Total loss of electricity throughout the island, dangerous flooding, damaged roads that prevent the access of aide, and millions of people without homes or supplies are some of the imminent issues that Hurricane Maria left behind.

At a press conference in New York, J. Lo announced that she will be donating $1 million (U.S.) from the profits of her Las Vegas residency All I Have to help rebuild Puerto Rico.

Joined by Governor Cuomo, Lopez shared the overwhelming help and support she has received from the entertainment and sports industry, and to all those that her and boyfriend Alex Rodriguez have reached to be part of these efforts.

The pop singer also mentioned how she is one of the many people who are still waiting to hear from family members because of the difficulties to communicate with those on the island.

Lopez and Rodriguez will be part of a live telethon to benefit Mexico and Puerto Rico.
