Justin Bieber caused quite a stir Saturday when he showed up in the Watts neighbourhood of Los Angeles to play soccer and basketball with local youth.
Arriving at the Watts Empowerment Center in the low-income and predominantly Hispanic and African-American community, the Canadian pop star posed for photos and even sang a bit of his 2013 track “Hold Right.”
Bieber, sporting his newly-shorn hair, also got down on the pavement and showed off impressive push-up skills.
The singer was there to join players from the Churchome Football Club, which is part of the Churchome religious organization of which he is a part.
Camera phones, of course, captured highlights of the singer’s visit and sparked a social media frenzy (including rumours that Bieber’s car broke down “in the ‘hood”).
