Kid Rock is under fire for a sexist tweet about Taylor Swift and her liberal political views.
The 48-year-old ex-husband of Canada’s Pamela Anderson, tweeted Friday: “Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period. And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl.”

It’s not clear what sparked Rock to go at Swift but his comment came only a day after Vogue published its interview with the pop star, in which she explained her recent political declarations and support for the LGBT community.
Swift endorsed Democrats in last year’s midterm elections and has criticized president Donald Trump for not supporting the Equality Act, which would prohibit discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, is a Republican and a vocal supporter of Trump. Born into a wealthy family and raised on a rural Michigan estate, he created a “redneck rapper” character who had hits like 2002’s “Picture” and “All Summer Long.” Rock had a role in the 2001 comedy Joe Dirt.
His 2001 track “Cool, Daddy Cool” featuring Joe C. includes the lyrics: “Young ladies, young ladies, I like 'em underage see / Some say that's statutory / But I say it's mandatory.”
Fans and famous folks are taking to social media to share their disgust at Rock’s tweet.
“Literally any rock is better than Kid Rock,” tweeted activist Adam Best. “Fraggle Rock, Jailhouse Rock, the Rock, Chris Rock, a small rock that flew up from the road and cracked my windshield.”

Amen, Bob. She should be a real American like you, growing up on a six acre estate complete with tennis court and horse paddock, and then bravely adopting a faux “redneck shitkicker” cosplay persona. God bless you, buddy ruff. https://t.co/OLlL430TnN

Kid Rock wants to be controversial because he wants to be relevant….period. And it looks like he will suck the door knob off Trump to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck boy.

Taylor Swift vs. Kid Rock. One is a very talented singer who is funny, intelligent, and has millions of fans/adorers all over the world. The other is Kid Rock.
