Police in Orlando, Florida have arrested a man accused of stalking Lana Del Rey.
The man, who alleged sent multiple threats on social media, was busted outside the venue where the singer was performing on Friday night.
Michael Hunt, 43, was arrested outside the Amway Centre after police received a tip related to a potential kidnapping. Hunt was reportedly armed with a knife at the time of his arrest.
Police alleged Hunt wrote “cryptic and threatening” posts about Del Rey on his Facebook in the days leading up to the concert.
“I want to see my queen on Friday and from that day forward our decisions will be as one,” Hunt allegedly wrote, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
“OPD Detectives considered the information a credible threat and took investigative measures to locate Hunt," tweeted Orlando police.
“OPD officers came into contact with Hunt at Hughey Avenue and Central Boulevard on Friday evening, one block from the Amway Center. When he was taken into custody, Hunt was in possession of tickets to the Lana Del Rey performance and a knife. At no time was he able to make contact with Ms. Grant [Del Rey].
“The man is currently being held at the Orange County jail on no bond, with charges of aggravated stalking with a credible threat, and attempted kidnapping with a weapon.”
Following the news of the arrest, Del Rey took to Twitter on Sunday to let fans know she's OK: “Hey kiddos, I’m doing fine thanks for the messages.”
