The first anniversary of the death of Leonard Cohen will be marked with an all-star tribute concert in his hometown Montreal.
Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen will take place at the Bell Centre on Nov. 6 and feature artists like Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello, Sting, Feist, and k.d. lang.
Also on the bill are Philip Glass, The Lumineers, Damien Rice, Patrick Watson and Cohen’s son Adam Cohen. More names are expected to be added in the coming weeks.
“My father left me with a list of instructions before he passed: ‘Put me in a pine box next to my mother and father. Have a small memorial for close friends and family in Los Angeles…and if you want a public event do it in Montreal,’” said the icon’s son, in a release.
Leonard Cohen died in November 2016 at 82.
