LISTEN: Dolores O'Riordan Sounds Upbeat Hours Before Death

Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan sounded as if she was in good spirits just hours before she died in a London hotel room.

TMZ obtained a voice mail message the singer left for her friend, record company executive Dan Waite, at 1:12 a.m. local time on Jan. 15.

Waite had arranged for O’Riordan to record vocals on a cover of the Cranberries song “Zombie” by Bad Wolves. The singer is heard telling Waite the song “sounds f**king terribly good" and she is anxious to get in the studio.

Hours after leaving the voice mail, O’Riordan was found dead. She was 46.

Officials have not yet released a cause of death.
