U2 dropped something different on Wednesday — an actual love song.
There's no serious global message or political statement in “You’re The Best Thing About Me,” from the forthcoming Songs of Experience. It's plain and simply about a person in love.
There's even a hint of humility. “Shooting off my mouth,” Bono sings. “That’s another great thing about me.”
The track, which highlights The Edge’s classic guitar style, also has a memorable chorus: “You're the best things about me / The best thing that ever happened / You're the best thing about me / I'm the kind of trouble that you enjoy.”
