Louis Tomlinson Says Justin Bieber Should Have Finished Tour

Louis Tomlinson says Justin Bieber should have put his fans first when deciding to pull the plug on his Purpose tour.

“Obviously, you have to be in a good position mentally, but I also think, to a certain degree, when you're signing up to something, you should see it through,” the former One Direction singer said in an interview with a New York radio station.

Bieber cancelled his tour last month with only 15 shows left, claiming he was exhausted.

The Canadian pop star said he is “sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed” by his decision.

But Tomlinson seemed to suggest that comes off as a bit ungrateful.

"There's never enough that I can say or do for the fans," he said.

“At the end of the day it’s the people buying the records that are putting you where you are. People can forget that, to be quite honest.”

Tomlinson’s take on Bieber’s decision is different from that of John Mayer, who tweeted his support for the Biebs.

“When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going,” he wrote. “We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [thumbs up] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.”
