Madonna Announces 'Madame X' Shows
Madonna announced on Monday that she will be doing a series of intimate concerts in support of her forthcoming album, Madame X.
She will do a seven-night run at BAM Howard Gilman in Brooklyn between Sept. 12 and 22 followed by four nights at The Chicago Theater in October, and five nights at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
There will also be shows in Miami, Philadelphia, Boston, Las Vegas, Lisbon, London, and Paris.
Madame X is out June 14.
Madonna explained the album title is also the name of a character she has embodied.
"Madame X is a secret agent. Traveling around the world. Changing identities. Fighting for freedom. Bringing light to dark places,” she said. “Madame X is a dancer. A professor. A head of state. A housekeeper. An equestrian. A prisoner. A student. A mother. A child. A teacher. A nun. A singer. A saint. A whore. And a spy in the house of love. I’m Madame X.”
Madame X is Madonna’s 14th studio album and her first since 2015’s Rebel Heart. She hasn’t toured in Canada since.
