Madonna, who recently fled New York, took to social media to share her love for her new home in Portugal.
"I used to be a basket case but now I Live in Lisbon!," the pop superstar wrote on Instagram.
In a separate post, Madonna said: "The energy of Portugal is so inspiring. I feel very creative and alive here."
According to reports, the Material Girl purchased an $11 million home in Sintra, just outside Lisbon. Her 11-year-old son David joined a local football academy and is attending a French school in the area.
Madonna also shared that she is looking forward to making new music in Lisbon and working on Loved, a film she plans to direct based on Andrew Sean Greer’s The Impossible Lives of Greta Walls.
