Meek Mill Announces Jay-Z Produced Docu-Series

Meek Mill's journey of his probation and controversial prison sentence will be documented in a brand new docu-series, produced by Jay-Z's Roc Nation.

The six-part series will not only chronicle the rapper’s rise to the top and his 10-year battle with Philadelphia judge Genece Brinkley, but will also reportedly attempt to bring more awareness to the controversially high incarceration rates for people of colour throughout the US.

“I’m grateful for this unique opportunity to share my story,” Mill said while detailing the project to Variety. “Not only will this documentary give viewers an unprecedented look at my life, but it will also allow me to use my public platform to highlight the need for criminal justice reform.”

Mill’s documentary series is scheduled for a 2019 release on a US streaming service.
