Meghan Trainor, 5 Seconds of Summer Coming To iHeartRadio MMVAs
Meghan Trainor, 5 Seconds of Summer and Kris Wu are coming to the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs.
The three acts join a list of performers that already includes Alessia Cara, Halsey, and Marshmello ft. Anne-Marie.
Trainor will take the iHeartRadio MMVAs stage just days before the release of her new album Treat Myself, which has already spawned the singles "No Excuses" and "Let You Be Right." 5 Second of Summer released their third album Youngblood in June and are kicking off the North American leg of their Meet You There Tour in Toronto on the night after the iHeartRadio MMVAs.
Vancouver native Kris Wu is a former member of boy band EXO who recently released the single "Like That" and starred in the Ontario-shot movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
Celebrity presenters announced on Thursday morning include Derek Hough, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Tyra Banks, Rachel Bilson, Star Trek Discovery star Sonequa Martin-Green, and Prince Michael Jackson (the 21-year-old son of the late King of Pop).
More exciting announcements – including the name of this year’s host and all the nominees – will come in the next few days.
The iHeartRadio MMVAs will be held Aug. 26 in Toronto and will be broadcast live on CTV, MTV, and MUCH. Fans can also tune in to the livestream at iHeartRadio.ca and on the iHeartRadio app as well as on Twitter. Virgin stations across Canada will also broadcast the big show.
