Miranda Lambert debuted “Mess With My Head” on Friday, just as she heads north for a pair of festival appearances.
The country star is set to perform Saturday at Boots & Hearts in Oro-Medonte, Ont. and on Aug. 16 at Country Thunder in Calgary.
Lambert said the new song, which follows “It All Comes Out in the Wash” and “Locomotive” from her forthcoming album, is unlike anything she’s done before.
“It has a real rock edge,” she said, in a release. “Part of that comes from my co-writers, Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby, and the other part of that comes from spending time in New York City. Being there has put a new energy into my music and my writing.”
Lambert, of course, married NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin in January.
