Neil Young's Model Trains Sell For Nearly $400k

Canadian rock icon Neil Young’s collection of rare model trains earned more than $385,000 at an auction this past weekend – including one locomotive that fetched nearly $13,000.

Young had put more than 230 pieces up for grabs at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles.

Several vehicles were also sold, including a 1953 Buick code 76X Roadmaster Skylark convertible customized for the singer that went for $514,000, according to Reuters.

Some proceeds from the auction will be donated to California’s Bridge School, which Young co-founded in 1986 for children with speech and physical impairments.
