Neil Young is once again talking about the forthcoming live album, Roxy - Tonight’s The Night Live, a collection of his legendary 1973 performances at The Roxy in Los Angeles.
The album includes the live debuts of nine songs that ended up on the Canadian rock singer’s classic 1975 album Tonight’s The Night, as well as his 1974 hit “Walk On” from On The Beach.
Young’s Roxy performances were the first-ever concerts hosted at the now-famed Sunset Strip venue.
“We had finished recording TTN and decided to celebrate with a gig at a new club opening on the Sunset Strip, the Roxy,” Young recalled, in a statement. “We went there and recorded for a few nights, opening the Roxy. We really knew the Tonight's the Night songs so we just played them again, the album, top to bottom, two sets a night for a few days. We had a great time.
"Roxy - Tonight's the Night Live is the live recording we made.”

Last month, Young explained: “We really knew the Tonight's The Night songs after playing them for a month. So we just played them again, the album, top to bottom, without the added songs, two sets a night, for a few days. We had a great time.”
The live album comes from the Neil Young Archives, a high-quality digital archive of Young’s work throughout the decades.
Roxy – Tonight's The Night will be released first as an exclusive ‘Record Store Day’ edition on April 21, followed by a standard vinyl, CD and digital release the next week. Preorders for the live album begin on March 5.
