Do not expect Rihanna to help the reboot of American Idol from sinking into abyss, because the pop star couldn’t care less about the singing reality show – or at least that’s the way it sounded during a red carpet interview at her Diamond Ball charity event on Thursday.
When asked if she’d ever consider joining the judging panel on Idol, the Barbadian beauty said she’d only accept the gig if she had nothing better to do. "Um, I don't know. It depends on how bored I am," she unenthusiastically said.
And yet, Ri-Ri is far from bored as she just launched two major ventures: her Fenty clothing line for Puma as well as her Fenty Beauty makeup line.
In case you haven't heard, the new Idol is still looking for judges to fill the seats next to Katy Perry. Idol's most recent update surrounds a potential delay in filming if they can't secure judges in the coming weeks. However, the bigger issue with that is Idol reportedly jumped through hoops to make sure that their filming schedule was strategically placed around Perry's tour, which starts Monday in Montreal.
As you can expect, if they lose Perry, then Idol has an even bigger problem.
