Rihanna's filmography will grow when the pop titan joins Adam Driver for Annette, a new music-based drama from French director, Leos Carax, as per a new report from Variety.
Annette tells the story of a stand-up comedian who is left to raise his two-year-old after his opera singer wife passes away. The film will feature an original screenplay and music from Los Angeles art-rock duo Sparks. No word on what characters Rihanna and Driver will play in the project. It was also reported that Amazon Studios has acquired U.S. and Canadian distribution rights to distribute the film, with shooting beginning this spring across several locations, including Los Angeles.
Expect to see Rihanna work her acting chops in the forthcoming season of A&E's "Bates Motel," where the singer will play the famed Marion Crane, as well as Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and Ocean's Eight.
