Shania Twain has given us a name for her new single. “Life’s About to Get Good” will be the first music we hear off of her forthcoming album, her first studio album in 15 years.
Twain announced the news Monday night on an episode of The Voice, where she acted as a guest judge. The single is expected out in June, with her complete album to follow in September.
The inspiration for “Life’s About to Get Good” came, Twain wrote in a statement, while “I was at home looking out at the ocean and I said to myself, 'Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it's so beautiful out. I'm not in the mood to write a 'feeling-sorry-for-myself' song.... You can't have the good without the bad. And that's what the song ended up being about.”
The Canadian country icon will be playing the Stagecoach Festival in California this weekend, where fans will likely hear her new material first.
