Toronto natives Drake and The Weeknd are two of the world’s 10 best-selling recording artists of 2017.
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) announced Monday that Drake ranked No. 2 on the annual list and The Weeknd came in at No. 7.
The IFPI chart is based on sales of albums and singles in all formats as well as audio streams.
Drake, who topped the list in 2016, was bumped down one spot by Ed Sheeran, whose album Divide was certified multi-platinum in 36 markets. The Weeknd moves up from No. 10 in 2016.
In 2016, three of the top-selling recording artists were Canadians – Drake, Justin Bieber and The Weeknd.
