Vance Joy Returns With New Song ‘Lay It On Me’

Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy has returned with his first single since his 2014 debut album Dream Your Life Away, called "Lay It On Me." Vance had teased via Instagram that new music was coming earlier this week, and now the full song and accompanying music video are finally here.

"I had this guitar riff I had been playing for ages but had never found a home for," Vance Joy said of the single in a press release. "When it was glued together with a lyric I had in my phone, 'everything starts at your skin,' the song started to make sense."

Vance Joy's "Lay It On Me" music video sees the 29-year-old star in a misty setting as he sits back and watches interpretive dancers do their thing before getting into the action himself. The clip was directed by Mimi Cave and features Angela Sarafyan from HBO's popular series Westworld.

Vance Joy released his last album Dream Your Life Away, which featured his 4x Platinum single single "Riptide," in addition to several other successful songs. All of his success made him the no. 1 Most Played Artist at Alternative Radio in 2015.

This year, Vance is set to to perform at major summer music festivals across North America. Check out his 2017 Canadian festival dates below:
