WATCH: Carrie Underwood Performs U.S. Anthem At Predators Game
She’s married to a Canadian but Carrie Underwood showed off her American pride on Sunday night with a rousing performance of the U.S. national anthem.
The country star belted out “The Star-Spangled Banner” in Nashville at the beginning of Game 2 in the series between the Predators and the Winnipeg Jets.
Underwood’s husband, Ontario-born Mike Fisher, plays for the Predators.
The team has had a number of country stars sing the anthem before home games recently, including Dierks Bentley, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts.
Earlier this month, Underwood told the hometown Tennessean newspaper: “Last year, I was so proud to be the Captain’s wife and loved being able to contribute to the excitement of the playoffs by coming out to perform the anthem at the first game. I had so much fun and wanted to continue to support the team by asking a few of my friends to get in on the action.
“Like all of the Preds fans, I’m thrilled that Mike is back on the ice and I love that we are able to bring the music and hockey worlds together this way.”
