It’s no secret that Ed Sheeran loves Heinz ketchup.
This week, the pop star’s relationship with the condiment went to the next level in a new commercial.
“So it actually happened,” Sheeran explained in an Instagram post. “I sent a voice note to @heinz, and we made a whole tv spot around it.
“This is pretty much what I was aiming for in life. Ketchup ad > stadium tour.”
Earlier this month, Sheeran shared a photo of himself holding a bottle of Heinz “Edchup,” which he swore is a real thing and “you’ll be able to get your hands on one very soon.”
In the commercial, Sheeran dines at a “super posh restaurant” with “way too many forks” but realizes there’s something missing.
“So I reach into my bag, and I take out the only thing that can complete me,” he says in the voice-over. “And at that point, the whole world came to a stop. And the waiter was screaming. Through his eyes.”
On Tuesday, Sheeran also shared the list of song partners on his forthcoming album No. 6 Collaborations, which drops July 12. Among the nearly two dozens artists he worked with are Khalid, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Eminem, Bruno Mars and Chris Stapleton.
