Mötley Crüe has released “The Dirt (Est. 1981),” one of four new songs on the soundtrack to the forthcoming biopic The Dirt.
Featuring Machine Gun Kelly, the track was produced by Canada’s Bob Rock.
“To me, the music sounds like classic Mötley,” Nikki Sixx said, in a release. “The lyrics were written for the movie and are a reflection of our life.”
The movie, starring Douglas Booth, Iwan Rheon, Machine Gun Kelly, and Daniel Webber, chronicles the rise of the Crüe. It debuts March 22.
“During the filming … we got excited and inspired to write new music,” explained Sixx. “Getting back in the studio with Bob Rock just fueled the creative fires for us.”
In addition to “The Dirt (Est. 1981),” the soundtrack features “Ride With The Devil,” “Crash And Burn,” and a cover of Madonna’s “Like A Virgin.”
Crüe classics, including “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and “Kickstart My Heart” are also on the soundtrack.
