A new lyric video for Trace Adkins’ powerful ballad “Watered Down” was released this past week. It’s the lead single off of his forthcoming album Something’s Going On due out Mar. 31.
The video sees the 55-year-old country star puttering around on his Tennessee farm, where it was filmed. It’s the perfect visual aid for a song about a man coming to terms with middle age.
“We still fly like gypsies/ Just a little closer to the ground/ And we still love our whiskey/ But now it's just a little watered down,” he croons while sharpening tools and topping up the tractor with gas.
Despite enjoying a somewhat slower life, the Louisiana native has no plans to slow down. He’s currently gearing up for a nationwide tour in the U.S., which will stop at 29 cities across America. Watch the video below:
