Willie Nelson Scraps February Concerts Due To Illness

Willie Nelson has cancelled eight concerts this month so he can recover from the flu.

The 84-year-old country legend announced on Monday that shows in Georgia, Mississippi and Florida have been scrapped.

“He requires a few extra weeks to recover completely from the flu,” read a statement from his reps.

“He is up and about and looks as healthy as ever but his doctor has determined that his voice needs more time to recuperate to give the performances you all love seeing.”

Nelson is scheduled to resume his tour on March 5 in South Carolina.

Last month, Nelson abruptly ended a show in San Diego due to breathing problems and cancelled shows in California and Nevada. At the time, a rep said the singer had “a bad cold or the flu.”

Nelson pulled the plug on concerts last January, February and August due to illness.
