A perfect weekend for skiing

Well, there are no excuses this weekend. We thought last week was sweet, well this weekend even sweeter with another 20-30 cms of fresh powder in ski country...actually Hockley Valley was the big winner on Tuesday's dump with 25 cms. Then Sir Sams in Haliburton on Wednesday with 30 cms...thats where you'll find the NEWSTALK Markville Ford Explorer this weekend for the annual kick off to New Year, apres dinner and dance on Saturday.

We'll be staying at the beautiful and quaint Sir Sams Inn and Water Spa..right on Eagle Lake, 4min drive from the ski hills.  It's one of the coolest, traditional Haliburton Inns with amazing chef inspired food, the biggest and neatest Water Spa you'll find anywhere in Ontario with huge indoor pool, aqua centers and massaging spouts with water falls that ease sore muscles after a day of skiing, snowmobiling or cross country skiing.

Some rooms have real wood burning fireplaces and jacuzzi. It's one of the top rates hotels anywhere in ski country and a fantastic vacation destination in the summer.  We'll tell you more from the Inn and ski resort over the weekend.
