March Break has arrived!

March Break has finally arrived and skiing couldn't be much better especially after a very weird and wacky winter with warm and cold extremes....All resorts are open, basically full operation and there's no question we'll run out of skiers before we run out of snow.

We have a great weekend coming up with more sun and cooler temps through next week so it's all systems go on machine groomed granular..unfortunately for cross country..down to just two and limited in the traditional snow belts.

OK, there's a ton going on and join the NEWSTALK ski team this weekend at Mt St Louis/Moonstone for the National snowboard and freestyle championships...These kids fly and great to watch both Sat and watch for the Newstalk Markville Ford Explorer to win a free $25 gift card from Pizzaville.

As for events, Toronto is very busy once's a two for one at the CNE..two huge shows and Canada's biggest with Canada Blooms along with the National Home Show..over 1000 retailers and seminars through next weekend. 

The International Center is also busy with two big shows, again Canada's biggest..Motorama Custom Car Show and Motorsports rods to mods and everything in between along with a huge list of celebrities including TV stars and racers...Canada's largest Video Game Expo also takes place in Mississauga with gaming zones, competitions, professionals and exhibits.

It"s that time of year, sap is starting to run and  conditions are perfect with a number of sugar bushes celebrating with pancakes and sausages anytime of day but in Toronto there's a unique experience...Sugar Shack TO with maple taffy, ice activities, winter marketplace and live entertainment at Sugar Beach all weekend.

Did you know there's TIFF for kids, it kicks off this weekend with International Kids's biggest and most important for kids 3-13,. with over 100 movies from 40 countries at Bell Lightbox til the 18th.

10th Anniversary of the Vegan Bake Off runs on Sunday at the Glass Factory and Lounge..Toronto's largest plant based baking competition on Sunday from 11-5.

There's also a St Paddys Day parade on Sunday in Toronto starting at Bloor and George St at noon.

Winter at Ontario Place continues with skating on synthetic ice, movies on IMAX and a great light display through April.

North America's biggest St Patricks day celebration kicks off this weekend with Paddyfest in Listowel, just NE of Kitchener..3 weeks of celebrations and beer with something for the entire family through the 17th.

Spring time means outdoors,  with the Bowmanville Tackle Swap and Fishing show on Sunday...hundreds of dealers and deals at Clarington School from 10-4.

Home Town Hockey hits Brampton with two days of celebrities, hockey stars and's all free at Garden Square.

It's all about music in Guelph with Gain Music and Arts Festival all weekend at various parts of town along with Banjofest,12 acts over 3 days.

International talent at Silence Sounds.. Woodstock Nostalgia Show and Sales runs on Sunday with over 250's big with goods from 1920s to 1980s at  Oxford Auditorium.

Warkworth is taking it up a notch with Maple Syrup Festival ..33rd annual..all weekend with horse drawn sleigh rides, log sawing contests, live music and more right downtown.

Another sure sign of spring...Return of the Swans and Festival in Grand Bend..over 15,000 birds making their way back home with viewing from Lambton Heritage Museum through next weekend.

And Spring Break activities at the Toronto Zoo....last week for the famous Pandas before heading off to Calgary.

Frogs is the feature at Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington.

Bug Fest in Cambridge at the Butterfly Conservatory.

It's all about Wolves in Haliburton with daily seminars and demonstrations at the Forest and Wildlife Reserve. 

There's a March Break kids camp in Owen Sound with traditions and cultural celebrations from days gone by at Grey Roots Museum.   

The Blue Mts are always fun with Blue Mt looking great to ski along with Scenic Caves and guided walks.

Wizard World Fun Park is all week at CNE, Better Living Center..a fun indoor park...15th year with rides, carnival atmosphere and more.
