Off to Banff!

Well, the NEWSTALK Descente ski team is on the move once again..we've left the powder of Sun Peaks in BC to the powder in Alberta....Banff to be exact, skiing the Big3 and 30cm of new fresh champagne powder.

The Banff area has incredible terrain, with over 8,000 acres of ski runs, 340 runs and plenty more..National Georgraphic named World's Best Ski Town..one of top 18 in the world to visit by CNN and many more well deserved comments.

Not only can you ski but also take advantage and relax in the many hot springs, snow tubing, fat biking, dog sled tours and there's even a bowling alley in town.  Banff National Park is also home to two iconic hotels..Banff Springs and Chateau Lake Louise.

We're staying right in town at the Elk and Avenue..one of the coolest hotels with a spa, hot tubs and plenty more all within a walk of downtown Banff...We're also taking a tour of Park Distillery, now in the rye batches.

We will wind up our tour at Mt Norquay, basically right in town with night skiing and a vertical of 1,650ft...74 runs and 85% snow making to ensure great snow every time. I was in Banff last year and a must stop on your winter tour.
