Summer's over

Well, if you can believe it the summer holidays are over and this is the last major holiday celebration til Christmas so lets get out and enjoy this beautiful weather. 

Here's a sign summer is over..Summer Sundown in Collingwood, bidding farewell with live music, performers, hiking and biking..there's also fireworks Sat night over the mountain, Sat to Monday at Blue Mt Village. 

In the town of Collingwood, it's Moonlight Market on Saturday with morning farmers market, crafters, vendors and the entire Main Street will have special lights to wind up your summer.

Not far away to Wasaga Beach it's Inflate a Fest with Canada's largest showcase of inflatables for all ages Friday through Sunday at Playland Park Square.

Along the same theme, it's Illuminate Barrie Festival along the waterfront with family friendly live entertainment, Canadian foods, activities, vendors, heritage market and fireworks both Sat and Sunday nights at Allandale Station park. 

Goderich will be singing the blues this weekend...West Coast Blues Downtown Shuffle with Walkabout Blues Friday night at 10 locations in town then live blues on the streets starting at 1:30 downtown on Saturday..

Wainfleet is just west of Welland and celebrates Marshville Heritage Festival..29th annual stepping back to the 1800's with family music and celebraton at Heritage Village.

Experience a Greek tradition all this weekend in St Catherines with Niagara Greek Festival with traditional music, food, dance and a kidz zone at the Orhodox Church. 

Port Elgin is all about fireworks this weekend on Sunday with Extravaganza ending your summer with a bang at the Beach. 

Also on Sunday in Orillia it's Wrestmania featuring all your local favourites starting at 4 at the Rec Center.

TIFF starts next week but Meaford is getting the early jump with International Film Festival..4 nights, 4 films, 4 parties and 4 meals..through Sunday at Town Hall. 

Just down the street, it's all about dogs..6th annual Dog Days of Summer Pooch Pool Party on Saturday with early swim at 11 then photos with Beautiful Joe to promote his legacy of humane treatment for all animals at the Blue Dolphin Pool. 

It's all about the stars in Kitchener..First Stars Psychic Fair and Expo...palm readers, demonstrations, seminars, and even healers at the Convention Center all weekend. 

Thunder by the Beach is featured in Grand's championship weekend with a variety of classes on the line at the Motorplex along with fireworks on Saturday night all running through Sunday. 

Staying with racing, it's Nascar weekend at Bowmanville with the World Truck Series and many more classes all weekend at Mosport Park. 

The great Salmon Spectacular is winding up in Owen Sound with weigh ins continuing along with a fish fry on Saturday..

On Sunday, kids day along with breakfast with Elvis and live music... awards at 3.  Oshawa celebrates the military at Tank Saturdays..see Canada's largest collection of military vehicles...all at the Museum from noon-4. 

It's Food Truck city in Richmond Hill..Food Truck Festival along with kids music, entertainment, and more then 30 food trucks making it one of the biggest festivals in Canada..Sat and Sun from noon-8.  

57th annual Steam Era is celebrated in Milton all holiday weekend with demonstrations, exhibits and daily parades of tractors, antique cars, crafts and fashion at Heritage Park.

Burlington is finger licking good with Canada's largest Ribfest..14 award winning international Ribbers along with music, craft beer, kids zone and more all weekend at Spencer Smith Park.

4th annual Soundbites takes place in Mississauga... a celebration of homegrown taste and talent with grammy winning artists along with Tom Cochrane on Saturday at Celebration Square.  

Toronto International Buskerfest is underway with performers from across North of a kind entertainment, magic, musicians, acrobats, jugglers and more through Monday at Woodbine Park. 

The Ex winds up this weekend with the annual Air Show while other Agricultural Fairs continue in Kincardine, Kinmount, Mangetawan, Marmora, Meaford, Orangeville and Port Perry.
