$187 million add-on to Scarborough subway plan passes final stage before Council vote
The Mayor's Executive Committee approved on Tuesday a proposal to add an underground bus terminal to plans for the subway line extension to Scarborough Town Centre.
City staffers recommended the add-on to the new subway station, which comes with an estimated cost of $187 million.
That brings the total estimated price for the project to just over $3.3 billion.
The 13-councillor committee also approved a proposal to align the route of the extension along McCowan Ave.
City council gets the final say on the proposal at its March 28th meeting.
