Arrest made in coffee shop assault

Police say a 62-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly attacked a stranger more than 15 years his senior outside a coffee shop.

They say the incident happened on Sunday evening, when the accused was sitting on the coffee shop's patio.

Investigators say a 78-year-old man was standing outside the patio, and the 62-year-old man yelled and lunged at him.

They say the older man fell and hit his head on the patio, suffering extremely serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police say the accused was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault.

He is set to appear in court next month.
