Canadians could find out tomorrow how the Feds respond to contentious amendments to Bill C-69

Canadians could find out tomorrow how the federal government will respond to the staggering 187 Senate recommended amendments to Bill C-69.

Bill C-69 would revamp the way the Feds evaluate major infrastructure projects such as oil pipelines.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said his government will accept some amendments, but not all -- pointing to one which he says makes it optional to consult Indigenous communities.

He lashed out at six premiers representing five conservative provincial governments and a territory who want Ottawa to accept every single amendment or risk a constitutional crisis.

Trudeau is accusing them of playing games with national unity.
