CFIA updates recall for Whole Foods' Reblochon Cheese
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has released new details about a cheese recall at four Whole Foods locations.
On Monday, the CFIA said Whole Foods was recalling Reblochon Cheese, or raw cow cheese, due to possible E. coli O26 contamination.
The product, with the UPC code 0293524 was packaged on dates ranging from March 20, 2018 to May 15, 2018.
It has been sold at three Whole Foods locations in the GTA:
- 4771 Yonge Street, North York
- 301 Cornwall Road, Oakville
- 87 Avenue Road, Toronto
It has also been sold in Whole Foods' Bank Street location in Ottawa.
The CFIA says the recall was triggered by people becoming sick from the product in France, but no illnesses have been reported in Canada.
