Feds agree to open Moss Park Armoury during cold snap
The Moss Park Armoury is opening its doors to the homeless during this deep freeze.
Mayor John Tory had hoped it would used as a Winter respite centre until April.
Instead, the federal government has agreed to open the armoury as an emergency warming centre that will be 24/7 for the next two weeks.
During that time the province will consider and announce a longer-term solution.
