Flu numbers show a particularly bad season

If you've had the flu already this year, you're not alone.

As a matter of fact, this flu season has been a doozy.

Toronto Public Health have released the numbers through February, which show there are almost three times as many confirmed flu cases this year, than the average over the last 10 years.

Already 1960 people have come down with the flu in Toronto. Of those, almost 600 people have gone to hospital and 12 have died.

When it comes to age groups which have been the hardest hit, those 65-years-old and older.

There have been 5 strains of the flu identified this year, the most common is Influenza-A, which is responsible for sending 331 people to hospital.
