Holy Guacamole!

Sounds like a Guacamole party to me.

Halton Regional Police have arrested one man from Brampton, in connection with the theft of a tractor trailer, packed with avocadoes.

The truck was parked at a yard on Industry Street in Oakville, when police say on October 15th, Harjot Singh Dhillon cut the lock and walked through the gate.

The truck was later recovered in Etobicoke, the next day, while the trailer was found in Scarborough on October 26th.

Sadly, the avocadoes, worth $60,000, were gone.

Police arrested Dhillon on October 30th and he's been charged with Break, Enter and Commit and Possession of a break-in instrument.

So why avocadoes?

Detective Omar Nadim says food is often the target in load thefts.

"It can be easily mixed in with other loads and basically, that's why it was recovered in Toronto because of the food markets, that would facilitate easy loading of the commodity."

Officers say the investigation is still on-going and officers are still looking for two others people, believed to be involved.
