UPDATE: Blue Jays scheduled to play doubleheader Tuesday

The Blue Jays are scheduled to play a doubleheader Tuesday, after Monday night's game was postponed due to bad weather.

The team says on its Twitter page that it will reevaluate the situation Tuesday morning to confirm the two games are still on, after ice falling from the CN Tower ripped a hole in the Rogers Centre's retractable roof.

Fans who purchased tickets to Monday night's game need to exchange their tickets to be able to attend Tuesday's games. Tickets to Tuesday night's game are good for both in the doubleheader starting at 3:07 p.m.

Photos emerged on Twitter on Monday showing the hole in the Rogers Centre roof.

The hazard prompted police to cordon off all the pedestrian areas around the CN Tower and Rogers Centre as well as a stretch of sidewalk. No one was injured.

People staying at a nearby hotel watched anxiously as two workers inched their way along the expansive white dome to check out the damage.

This is not the first time a Jays-Royals game in Toronto has been postponed because of roof problems. In April 2001 a match-up was put off after siding and insulation crashed onto the field before first pitch.
