Killer nurse moved to psychiatric hospital

It's a place without weapons and without bars and it has reportedly become home to a serial killer.

According to Global News, Elizabeth Wettlaufer has been moved from prison to a secure psychiatric hospital in Montreal.

The former nurse was sentenced to life in prison for killing eight nursing home patients with fatal doses of insulin.

Daniel Silcox's father was one of the victims. He says he was told of the transfer by correctional services eight months ago, but was not told where Wettlaufer was taken.

He continued to push for information and finally got an answer this week.

Wettlaufer is said to be in a specific psychiatric unit with 15 beds for women with federal sentences.

The facility offers music, sports and internet access.
