Latest opinion poll shows John Tory with comfortable lead in Mayoral campaign race

The latest opinion poll on Toronto's race for mayor puts John Tory way out in front.

Forum Research says its new survey of 1,000 randomly selected Toronto voters finds that among those who have decided or are leaning toward a candidate to vote for, the incumbent mayor has 56 per cent support.

That's compared 29 per cent support for Tory's closest rival, former city planner Jennifer Keesmaat.

The poll also suggests that other mayoral candidates are lagging behind those two front-runners, with support around 15 per cent.

Tory’s approval rating is up 4 points over a poll that was done last month. The Mayor has an approval rating of 56 per cent, while his disapproval rating is at 30 per cent.

The survey was conducted between October 3rd and 5th.

Advance voting in Toronto is on now through Sunday.

Election Day is less than 2 weeks away.
