MP's to hold emergency debate on Wilson-Raybould testimony

There will be an emergency debate in Parliament this evening on bombshell testimony by former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould to the Commons justice committee.

And Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer has written the R-C-M-P commissioner calling for an investigation into what he contends is possible obstruction of justice by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau says the ethics commissioner will decide if Wilson-Raybould really was unduly pressured to help S-N-C-Lavalin avoid criminal prosecution.

Finance Minister Bill Morneau denies her claim that his chief of staff did anything inappropriate, while current Justice Minister David Lametti says her testimony is an extraordinary symbol of transparency in the government.
