Ontario Tories extend window for voters to register

Doug Ford first brought it up a week ago at one of his campaign stops.

He was not happy with the registration process to allow people to officially get their name in to vote for a new Ontario PC leader.

Technical issues had slown down the process. Some people hadn't even received their official registration letters yet.

Ford even suggested going back to paper ballots.

The Tories had decided to use an online voting system to decide who their next leader would be.

Sunday morning another leadership candidate Christine Elliott tweeted out that the Ontario PC Party has extended the window for people to register, from the original closing date of Monday at 11:59 p.m. until Wednesday March 7th at 8 p.m.

The voting ends by the 9th and the provincial Tories will announce a new leader next Saturday the 10th.
