Protest in front of Ripley's Aquarium during memorial for environmental film maker Rob Stewart
People from several animal rights groups gathered outside Ripley's Aquarium Downtown Toronto in protest Saturday afternoon during a memorial for marine conservationalist Rob Stewart.
One of the organizers Jenny McQueen tells CP24 they were there to honour the memory of Stewart.
"For Rob Stewart, his legacy was all about not consuming the oceans and not exploiting the oceans." McQueen says. "The fishing disamates the oceans."
Rob Stewart vanished January 31, 2017 during a dive off the coast of Florida. His body was recovered February 3, 2017. He was 37 years old.
