Toronto teacher charged with sexual assault

A 36-year-old high school teacher has been arrested in an alleged sexual assault involving a teen girl.

Toronto Police say a 15-year-old girl came forward recently, to report that back in March of 2017, she met with a teacher, who drove her to her home, to visit and discuss school issues.

It was allegedly during that visit that police say they believe a sexual assault took place.

Brian Ross, has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one of sexual interference.

He's a teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board and taught, most recently at Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary on Avenue Road and Senator O'Connor College School on Rowena Drive.

Ross was also involved in coaching athletics.
