UPDATE: One dead, three injured in overnight shootings, stabbing

A Toronto cab driver has been seriously hurt in an overnight stabbing.

Paramedics were called to an address on Stonefield Cr, in the Hwy 401 and Neilson Rd area at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Toronto police say a man has been arrested in the case. It is not clear what charges he faces or if he was the victim's passenger.

The stabbing is just one of several violent incidents across the GTA between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Peel Regional Police's homicide squad is investigating a fatal shooting inside a Motel 6 near Steelwell Rd and Tomken Rd in Brampton. Investigators said early Tuesday that they had no suspect information but considered the death of a 19-year-old Toronto man to be an "isolated incident".

Police in Toronto have not had any suspect information to share about a pair of shootings in the city Tuesday night. One man was hit at the Chelsea Hotel near Yonge St and Gerrard St, the other at an apartment complex near Yonge St and Sheppard Ave W. Both men are expected to survive.
